International Grand Masters Hockey Festival 23 t/m 30 juni
The 2023-2024 season is a very special one for Hockey Club Klein Zwitserland (HCKZ). At the start of the season in 2023, the two clubs T.O.G.O. and HH&YC, that merged to form the new club HCKZ, would have been 115 and 90 years old respectively. As the merger took place in 1974, the end of the season in 2024, will mark the “Golden Wedding Anniversary” of the successful and internationally renowned Hockey Club Klein Zwitserland.
This calls for celebrations throughout the season and what better way to end the season than with an International Grand Masters Hockey Festival for non-national teams of men and women over 60, to emphasize the spirit of a life-long hockey, both at club level as well as at international level.
The World Grand Masters Association (WGMA) is very glad that it has found Hockey Club Klein Zwitserland prepared to host this tournament in an ongoing commitment to support quality social hockey for men’s and women’s teams in all age groups over 60.
Hockey Club Klein Zwitserland is situated in the NW corner of The Hague at only 2,5 km. from the beach at the seaside resort of Scheveningen. The club was the host venue for the highly successful WGMA World Cup in 2014 and now has five water-based hockey pitches and one sand-based. The clubhouse has eight changing rooms, and a range of facilities to host the Grand Masters Hockey “family” in a manner that they have come to expect.
